Thank you for your interest in the 2015 Capturing Childhood mini-sessions. These mini-sessions, open to both boys and girls, will be a special way to capture the innocence, wonder, and beauty of childhood. Full portraits will capture your child's adorable personality that you love, while close up portraits will be treasured for capturing facial features, from your child's beautiful eyes to cute freckles.
These special portrait sessions are far from ordinary. There will be props to choose from, such as vintage toys, elegant dresses, bouquets of flowers, live floral crowns for little girls, hats for boys, and other touches to make each image unique.
Light hair styling will also be provided. There will be no electricity available at the location, so the stylist will not be able to blow dry, flatten, or straighten hair. She will, however, be available to braid hair, pin hair up in a bun, tuck little flowers into hair, help attach hair accessories, for anyone who would like help. If you'd like to utilize this, you'll need to let me know and you'll need to come early to your session.
Each mini-session includes:
-a 20 minute photography session
-An online gallery of 8-10 fully edited images to download, along with a print release
-Fine art prints available for purchase (but not required) with a 15% discount
The session fee is $175 plus tax and covers portraits for one child. If you would like to add a sibling to a session, there is an additional $25 fee. Adding a child, however, will not mean that the session will be longer than 20 minutes or include more than 8-10 images in the gallery. Because these are mini-sessions, there is a maximum of two siblings allowed per session.
Children of all ages are welcome, however babies must be able to sit up in order to participate.
The location will be finalized at a later date, however, will most likely be Sugg Farm in Holly Springs.
New to booking mini-sessions? Here's how it works:
1. Mini-sessions are booked at the set location on the set dates. Select the date and time that you'd prefer and pay for your session. Only available time slots will show in the menu. Time slots that do not show have already been booked.
2. Once your mini-session is selected and paid, I will email you the session agreement for you to read and sign electronically. We will also discuss your personal session- the age of the child participating, tips on what to wear, ideas for props, and answer any questions that you have.
3. Two days before the session, I will send you an email reminding you of your mini-session date and time. Mini-sessions must start and end on time. If you arrive late, it will cut into your child's session time. Depending on whether or not you would like help with your child's hair, you may need to come even earlier than your session.
4. On the date of the session, we will meet, have a fun time photographing your child and making him or her feel special, and enjoy the lovely summer evening. If it is raining on the date of your mini-session, I will call you that day and let you know that the mini-sessions will be canceled. We will then find a time to reschedule.
