{Raleigh NC Newborn Photographer} Beautiful Custom Albums Available

March 08, 2017  •  Leave a Comment

I am so excited to share these beautiful albums that I now offer as an add-on with newborn photography sessions. For years, I've been torn about the popular idea of selling large canvas prints.  They are so beautiful and I do own a few myself, but part of me felt like buying a bunch of canvas prints from a newborn session just isn't that practical.  What happens to those canvases when the baby turns 6 months and has his next photography session?  Or a year old?  Or two years old?  How many giant canvases can you possibly have and store in your house?

Enter this heirloom quality album.  I can design these in several sizes starting in 8x8".  I love the look of a square album, but rectangular ones are available as well.

There are a variety of cover options available. My favorite is this linen cover.  For my sample, I used peach, but many other colors are available.  They can be designed with or without the photo window on the front.  I can even have your baby's name embossed on the front cover.

The pages of the album are thick, like a toddler's board book, ensuring their sturdiness.  You'll be able to enjoy your album for decades.  Each photo inside is printed on Kodak Professional Endura Premier Paper, designed to hold color and detail for at least 100 years.

I'm able to design the pages with collages, as well as two-page spreads, creating a more appealing design.

I love how this album can stand up on its own.  It would be such a beautiful addition to display in a nursery or any room of the house.  If you don't want to display it, you can always keep it in the beautiful, sturdy linen covered box that it comes in.

I think what I love most about this album is that it takes the task of storing your images off your plate.  My sons are 6 and 7 and I still haven't gotten a chance to create photo albums for them.  It is so hard for us moms to take the time to organize our photos, find a template, figure out how to design the album (those popular album sites are not usually user friendly), and then have it printed.  Not to mention that those photo book companies do not design their books to last for decades.  You'll see wear and tear.  Your baby's album should be not only beautiful, but last generations so that she can share it with her own grandchildren one day.  Instead of trying to create your own, why not have me do all the work for you?  I'll send you drafts to approve and once we finalize and I place your order, it will be here within 2-3 days.

The pricing for these albums is somewhat complicated, so it is difficult to list a price here, but an 8x8" album with 10 pages starts at $325.  Many factors can change your price, including:

-Size of album.  They can be ordered in 8x8", 10x10", 12x12", 8x10", and 8x12"

-Number of pages- The best price includes 10 pages, which is enough for most newborn sessions, depending on layout.  My sample has 12 pages.

-The cover choice.  Linen comes standard because it's my favorite, but the cover can be upgraded to leather.  Name embossing on the cover and the photo window are two other available upgrades.

Next time you're in the studio, take a look at the sample album.  Hold it and turn its pages to get a feel for the amazing quality.  If you've had a newborn portrait session (or any session!) in the past and would like me to design an album for you, just let me know.  These can be created from past sessions as well as for current clients.  I am also happy to create a registry or sell gift certificates so these albums can be given as gifts.
